Your gift goes to work saving lives and providing homeless animals here at the Sanctuary and around the county — the help and healing needed to find safe and permanent loving homes.
From ensuring lifesaving medical treatment to providing nutritious meals, warm beds and the chance to find a permanent loving home, Etosha Rescue will make certain that homeless pets are never forgotten.
Etosha Rescue has been running the largest no-kill sanctuary in Texas for more than 25 years, working with other shelters around Texas and passionate people like you to ensure homeless pets receive lifesaving care and protection — and the future they deserve.
— Dalai Lama
Soft comfort items, like blankets, towels, and pet beds, help homeless animals become more adoptable. On a bed, blanket, or towel, shelter animals relax. Their ears perk up, and they become more affectionate. A more home-like setting also makes it easier for prospective owners to imagine their new pet in their home.
These comfort items keep shelter pets off the ground, insulate them from drafty, cold floors, cushion their joints, and provide each animal its own space.
By donating a blanket, you actually save two lives: One life when an animal is adopted and another life when that vacancy in the shelter makes room for another homeless animal.
When you buy your pup or kitten their food and drop a bag off at Etosha, every time you pour your pet a bowl, you know you’re also pouring a bowl for a shelter animal. There are little things we can do on a daily basis that really do make a difference in the lives of others. And the good you do rubs off on others! Not only will a rescue know that you have their back, your community will feel it, too.
One bag of food means an animal has a full belly, is vetted to stay healthy, gets socialized and also gets to meet prospective families. It is a mighty bag of food because it saves and makes lives.
There are many ways that you can help and it doesn’t take much time or expense. We greatly appreciate volunteers 7 days a week. If you have a digital camera, we always need someone to to take new pictures. Give us a call, tell us in what way you could volunteer–give us a chance to put your skills to work. The ways to help are endless and only limited by your imagination. Tax-deductable donations of cash, food and building materials are always needed and greatly appreciated.
YES, You really can Help!
